Provision of Learning Support

We provide carefully targeted additional support for children experiencing learning, social, emotional, behavioural or physical difficulties. We do everything possible to support these children to make good progress and increase their self esteem. We always put the child's best interest at the heart of decision making and believe in effective early identification leading to targeted support, involving other, specialist services where appropriate.

Progress is regularly monitored and reviewed to ensure objectives are appropriate. We encourage close liaison with parents to ensure that they are fully informed of their child's progress and able to ask any questions they need to. We work closely with other specialist services to secure additional guidance and support.

Staffing

Your point of contact if you have any questions relating to special educational needs or learning support will in the first instance be your class teacher. Your child's class teacher may also refer you to have a conversation with our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator, Mrs L Batchelor - 01228 535091.
